Consumers are really spoilt for choice when it comes to buying a Bluetooth-enabled headset. With so many options available, companies are trying to attract some consumer attention towards their product. Today, we take a look at Trubeats Slix Bluetooth headset from Amkette. But does it attract the same attention. Let’s take a look.

The design of the headset is very stylish. Amkette has tried to give the headset a sporty look and thanks to the magnetic clips integrated on the sides of the headset, the headset can be placed perfectly when not in use. As for the buttons and the port placement, the volume as well as music controls along with the microUSB port are located at the bottom.

The Slix headset from the Trubeats family scores on the comfort front. Angled ear buds fit nicely in the ears but could have been even better if the angled ear buds were adjustable. The wire that connects both the ears of the headset is designed to adjust behind the head for a proper audio experience.

Performance-wise, the Slix headset offers a decent performance. The audio playback quality is good and so is the quality during voice calls. The headset uses Bluetooth 2.1 and the only gripe we have is the limited battery life. In our tests, the headset couldn’t last more than 4 hours of continuous usage.

Battery life is the only thing that bothers us but if you’re okay with the limited amount of battery juice, Slix from Amkette’s Trubeats family will suffice your need perfectly.

The Slix Trubeats headset retails for around Rs. 2,500.
