Creative Hitz MA-2400 Headset Review

Creative Hitz Review

Creative recently launched its new range of audio accessories for the Indian market. The accessories also include their Hitz range that consists of three headphones and one pair of earphones. We take a look at the mid-tier option – the MA-2400.

Design:

Creative Hitz Review

Given the intense competition in the headphones market, how do you distinguish a product from the rest of the crowd? With design, of course. Creative has gone for a trendy and colourful look with the MA-2400. The headphones come in colour options of white, red, lime green and black (which we reviewed). The exterior of the headphones boast a triangular shape while the interior is padded with soft material. Overall, the glossy plastic may not give a premium look but the colours and the design are definitely a good thing.

The 1.2m cable integrates an in-line mic, which is placed at the top-end of the cable while the volume slider control is placed slightly beneath it.

Creative Hitz Review

Performance:
The headphones are not that proficient to deliver crystal clear music but it does offer good bass feedback, thanks to its fine tuned 34mm neodymium drivers. The audio quality during calls is pretty good as well.

The headphones does not offer active noise cancelling function but it does passively due to the large earcups. Creative says the cups are designed ergonomically for extended use but we found the material hurting our ears after sometime despite our numerous attempts to adjust it.

Conclusion:
MA-2400 is priced at Rs 3,499 and offers a formidable option if you’re looking for something that can deliver good bass. The in-line microphone is an added plus. The only issue we had was the inside material that made it cumbersome for our prolonged sessions.

Rating:
Pros: Design, in-line mic
Cons: Headphones are not that comfortable for prolonged use
