Microsoft had originally planned to release Windows 8.1 to developers on the same day as regular consumers but Windows maker has done 180-degree turn today. In a terse statement released on the Windows Blog, Microsoft confirms it will make the Windows 8.1, Windows 8.1 Pro as well as Windows Server 2012 RTM builds to MSDN and TechNet subscribers. The builds will be available later this month but definitely earlier than what Microsoft had originally intended.
Microsoft says the change in decision is “based on the feedback of its partners”.
