Galaxy Tab 3 Kids is Samsung’s tablet for kids

Samsung today announced their first offering targeted at kids – Galaxy Tab 3 Kids. The Galaxy Tab 3 Kids tablet has been specifically built for kids with “educational tools and safety parents want”.

Samsung pre-loads the tablet with a dedicated kids app store and loads the device with content ranging from educational to games, entertainment and even e-books. Samsung also gives parents the freedom to choose which app a kid should have access to, Time Management that locks and unlocks the tablet at specified time and a case that offers better grip and a slot for C Pen that can used to draw on the tablet.

As for the specs, Galaxy Tab 3 Kids features Android 4.1 OS, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 3MP and 1.3MP cameras, 7-inch WSVGA display (1024×600) Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microSD card slot, 4000mAh battery.

The tablet will be available in September in South Korea and will roll out gradually in rest of the markets.
