Apple will soon add a golden iPhone to its roster, according to a report by All Things D. The website has a good track record when it comes Apple-related rumours and they say Apple will add an “elegant” gold hue option to the iPhone that sells only in black or white. The news about a gold iPhone cropped up last Friday and has since been confirmed by three more outlets that have well-connected Apple sources.
The site also claims that the front will be white but the back and the sides will bear the golden finish. One of the reasons for offering the new colour will be due to the ability to anodise it easily and also the colour is more sought in high-end markets like China.
Apple is rumoured to announce the new iPhone on September 10.
