HTC unveils affordable Desire U with Android 4.0, 1GHz CPU

HTC has expanded its lower-end Android line up with the Desire U. The new device has been announced for China and Taiwan and lowers the bar for consumers to experience HTC’s Sense UI along with Beats audio technology.

Desire U’s specs include Android 4.0 with a single core 1GHz processor, 4-inch WVGA display (800×480), 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory, 5MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microSD card slot and 3G.

There’s no word when HTC will reveal the Desire U in international markets.
