Bharti Airtel has announced to bring the iPhone 4 to India soon. There’s no exact time frame as to when we can expect the device but has confirmed that Apple’s highly successful phone will be available “in the coming months.”
Although the decision to launch the phone must have been to complement Airtel’s 3G services but it is ironic that India is getting the iPhone 4 ‘officially’ when most regions are gearing up for the next-generation iPhone. Also, the fact that iPhone 4 is officially unlocked in some markets, makes us skeptical about the Airtel iPhone 4 prospects in India.
