HTC is planning to enter the tablet PC market soon. Digitimes has apparently received a confirmation from component suppliers that these tablets will make their way out before the end of first half of this year and one of them will be known as the Flyer.
The Flyer is said to be an “enlarged version of Desire smartphone” but will run Android 2.3 (upgradeable to Honeycomb) and sell in March in US mostly with a tie up with an operator. Rest of the markets is expected to receive the Flyer sometime in second quarter of this year.
As for the other two tablets, HTC will launch them in June running the Honeycomb OS.
