Creative intros Bluetooth-enabled Wireless speakers in India

Creative launched its new range of wireless speakers for the Indian market. The speakers – D100, D200, Inspire S2 Wireless and ZiiSound D5 eliminate the need for docking the music player and since all these have the Bluetooth radio, any Bluetoooth-enabled device right from music player to a mobile phone can work.

Creative D100

The D100 is the cheapest of the lot that offers the advantages of a wireless boombox at an affordable price. Going for Rs.4,499, the D100 has the ability to be controlled from the Bluetooth device and integrates an auxiliary-in slot for connecting other audio devices and sports a slot to house 4 AA batteries, making it truly portable.

Creative D200

Moving up the ladder is D200, which comes in a single shell chassis integrating the amplifiers and precision drivers for a smooth playback. The integration of Bluetooth is enhanced with the support of apt-X codec that will allow consumers to enjoy superior Bluetooth stereo. It sells for Rs.7,499.

Creative Inspire S2

The Inspire S2 Wireless speakers are targeted more towards PC users. The speakers consist of two satellite speakers and “Direct-Throw” subwoofer which are bundled with a USB Bluetooth dongle that allows to hook it up with any desktop computer or a laptop. It also has apt-X codec support and come with a headphone-out and aux-in ports. The Inspire S2 Wireless will retail for Rs.9,499.

Creative ZiiSound D5

Finally, it’s the ZiiSound D5, a reddot design winner that sits on top of Creative’s wireless speakers line. ZiiSound D5 too, supports apt-X audio codec and is tuned to give topnotch audio quality. The ZiiSound D5 will go for Rs.17,999 and bundles a transmitter for iPod and iPad.
