EA showcases games for the Indian market

EA and Milestone Interactive yesterday held an EA showcase previewing the games to be launched in 2010 and early 2011 in the Indian market. The games on display were FIFA 11, Medal of Honor, MMA (Mixed Martial Arts), Sims 3 Console Version, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, EA Sports Active 2 and Dead Space 2.

FIFA 11:
EA Sports’ successful football franchise will go on sale from tomorrow and brings in a lot of new features like Personality+ that takes in account of the abilities of the players on the field, new animations, customized crowd chants along with user-controlled players celebration, Pro-Passing system and much more. It will be available on all platforms like PC, PSP, PS3, NDS, Wii and Xbox 360.

Medal of Honor:
The controversial first-person shooter Medal of Honor will reach Indian gamers on October 15. Users play as Tier 1 operator where they can take down terrorists in hostile conditions of Afghanistan. The game will arrive on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

MMA:
MMA of Mixed Martial Arts is EA’s new franchise scheduled for October 22 allows users to combat world’s top fighters like Randy Couture, Frank Shamrock and more. PC gamers will be left out as the game will be available only on PS3 and Xbox 360.

Sims 3:
The SIMS are back to make you live in a parallel world. It will be available in India from October 29 and allows users to control their Sims as well as their world anyhow they want. The latest iteration allows users to control their Sims’ destiny, customize the Sims’ clothes, house etc., direct a Sims movie and connect with the Sims 3 online community. Sims 3 console version will be available on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and NDS.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit:
The NFS family has been expanded with the new Hot Pursuit edition. The game has been developed by Criterion games, makers of Burnout Series. In addition to driving hot cars like Lamborghini Reventon or Pagani Zonda Cinque, the new Hot Pursuit games bring interesting additions like NFS Autolog that connects to your friends, compare and compete with them, weapons and equipment to combat cops or stop speeding racers. The Need for Speed Hot Pursuit will arrive on November 19 on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

EA Sports Active 2:
The sequel to EA’s exercising game is here and this time it features Total Body Tracking. The game now includes wireless control system with motion sensor that needs to be worn while exercising. These help the game to accurately track the user’s motion as well as monitor heart rate, which is displayed on the screen. Users can perform over 70 exercises to stay fit or enroll in game’s 9-week program that designs a workout roadmap to be followed for the 9-week period. Additionally, users can take their workout sessions online to keep a tab on their fitness level or compare with other Sports Active 2 users. The game will arrive on November 19 on Ps3, Xbox 360 and Wii.

Dead Space 2:
The Dead Space 2 is expected on January 25 next year and makes the survival horror game more gruesome. You play Isaac Clarke who makes his way in “The Sprawl”, a land infested with Aliens. The new Dead Space 2 also allows to play in a zero gravity environment. The game will come on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
