Verizon has confirmed that their new Droid is indeed the recently previewed Droid X. They’ve posted an image of Droid X on their site with the text “coming soon”, making it certain that the next-gen Droid that will be unveiled on June 23 will be Droid X.
They’ve also mentioned few specs and interestingly it says HDMI-out, 4.3-inch display and 720p screen. We’re not sure if they meant the phone’s display to support 720p resolution or video recording support to up to 720p.
Nonetheless, we’ll know it in less than a week’s time. For now, you can register for updates on their site.
