Sony will launch e-readers in Asia Pacific and expand in Europe

Anticipating strong demand of e-book readers and e-books, Sony has announced to expand its e-readers availability in five new countries. They’ll soon announce their range of e-book readers in countries like Japan, China, Australia, Italy and Spain.

Like existing regions, the e-readers sold in the new markets will be integrated with Sony’s Reader Store that will allow users to buy from a wide range of books. Furthermore, Sony will enable consumers with localized content through its own or affiliated book stores.

Sony Reader range currently sells in United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland.

Local pricing and availability will be revealed in coming weeks.
