Nintendo DSi XL

Say Wha?? Nintendo has confirmed to launch a new portable console that will take the helm from DSi. We’re not sure about the Tegra or large displays previously rumored but it will support 3D gaming. Yup, a portable 3D gaming console from Nintendo that will be tentatively called as 3DS and won’t need any special glasses to play 3D games.

As awesome as it gets, Nintendo has also confirmed that 3DS will be backward compatible with DS and DSi titles.

Nintendo plans to unveil more details about the device at the upcoming E3 expo in June while the retail release will be sometime “during the fiscal year ending March 2011”.
