Asus Eee PC 1001PX surfaces with Intel Atom N450 CPU

Asus continues to expand its Eee PC line. The latest addition has been surfaced in Europe in the form of Eee PC 1001PX. The netbook boasts carbon-fiber design and echoes the specs of most of the netbooks available in the market like a PineTrail 1.66GHz N450 Atom CPU, 1GB RAM, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, Ethernet VGA-out etc. Asus will sell the 1001PX in two variants – one being loaded with Windows 7, a 250GB HDD and 6-cell battery (1001PX-WHI006S) and the other running Windows XP and featuring a 160GB HDD and a 3-cell battery.

The netbook is expected to arrive in Italy soon for 241 euros ($325; XP version) and 300 euros ($406; Win7 version).
