Microsoft Courier pictures surface, will be powered by Tegra 2?

Courier is an interesting take on how Microsoft wants a journal or a diary want to be. Now couple more images and details have leaked of Microsoft’s supposed iPad competitor. The Courier is said to function as a digital journal and will be highly portable with an inch of thickness and smaller than a 5×7 photo when closed.

Tegra 2 is expected to be the heart of the device and will run OS similar to Windows Phone 7 or Zune HD. In fact, it’s inferred to be running WinCE 6. Courier as we can see will be a book-styled tablet and will focus on handwriting recognition as well as on e-book reading abilities. Microsoft will also throw in a camera, headphone jack and media playback.

There is no word on the probable price but it is slated for a Q3/Q4 release.
