SanDisk G3 SSD is two times faster than 7,200RPM HDD

SanDisk is now shipping its super-fast and rugged SSD to retailers in North America and Europe. The G3 SSD is claimed to be twice as fast than a regular 7,200RPM HDD and has a sequential read speed of up to 220MB/s and write speed of up to 120MB/s.

Since SSDs do not contain any moving parts, SanDisk claims its G3 SSD offers excellent durability from shocks and vibrations and is backed by a 10-year limited warranty.

The G3 SSD will come in 60GB and 120GB capacity at a price of $229.99 and $399.99 respectively.
