Norton 360 v4

Symantec announced the newer version of its all-in-one security suite, Norton 360. Into its fourth iteration, the Norton 360 v4 not only offers protection from viruses and phishing attacks at 100 percent of protection rate (according to a test done by Dennis Labs), it comes with complete PC Tuneup features as well as backup options.

The latest version comes with 2GB of storage space for online backup and lots of other improvements like Smart Start-up Manager, Reputation service, Norton Insight and the ability to share content stored on Norton’s account. Users will also be able to download the backed up content onto their phones with the help of a dedicated application, which is currently in beta for Android OS and will go in beta in next few weeks for the iPhone OS.

Symantec has also worked on AV’s memory hogging flaw, which they claim the lightest AV suite around and with the help of Smart Smart-up Manager, a user can fasten up the boot time by up to 41 percent on Windows 7 PCs or save up to 3 hours in a year.

Norton 360 Version 4.0 is now available in India and will be available in two variants – the standard and the premium edition. The only difference between both is the online storage space which is 25GB in the premium edition. A standard single PC license will cost Rs. 1795 whereas a three-PC license will go for Rs. 3,200. The premium edition with three-PC license will cost Rs. 4025.
