LG has introduced its first phone for the Chinese market running OPhone OS, a modified version of Android. GW880 will be the first LG phone to feature China’s homegrown TD-SCDMA band and integrate various other features like a 3.5-inch WVGA (800×480) touchscreen display, CMMB (China Multi Media Broadcasting) support, 5MP camera, GPS, Bluetooth and variety of apps by way of China Mobile’s App Store.
OPhone has more than 20 participating companies including Dell, LG, Motorola and Philips.
