Qualcomm FLO TV handheld goes official

Qualcomm has decided to put an end to those leaks by officially announcing the portable FLO TV handheld. FLO TV Personal Television will allow users to watch TV shows, live sports and other multimedia content on the go. For a minimum subscription of about $8.99/month a user can instantly watch the content without any need to buffer or download.

The FLO TV Personal Television sports a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display, stereo speakers and a battery life of 5 hours of continuous watching with about 300 hours of standby time. Sadly, the personal FLO TV won’t double up as a PMP, effectively crippling its use limited to watching FLO TV content only.
