Lenovo outs an HTPC, homeserver and a nettop in the US market. The IdeaCentre Q700 is Lenovo’s first home theatre PC allowing users to watch videos in full HD resolution and support for 7.1 digital surround sound. Computing prowess is handled by a Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB RAM, up to 1TB HDD and features 8 USB ports and an eSATA port.
Another first for Lenovo is the IdeaCentre D400 homeserver that houses heaps of data which can be accessed from a network or over the internet. The homeserver supports up to 8TB of total storage spanning across hot-swappable four bays. It also features five USB ports, an eSATA port, one-touch data copy function and ability to copy important files onto multiple HDDs for additional backup and security.
Moving onto the nettop, Lenovo unveiled Q100/Q110 nettops and are touted to be thinnest nettops in the world. The Windows XP laden Q100 and ION powered Vista equipped Q110 are the solution to a clutter free desk. The Q100 supports VGA output while Q110 is able to crank out 1080p via HDMI. Both are powered by Atom processor, up to 2GB RAM, up to 250GB HDD, Wi-Fi and Ethernet.
As for the pricing and availability – the Q700 HTPC is available right now for $499 and D400 will be available in mid-September at the same price. Q100 and Q110 nettops will also start selling from mid-September for $249 and $349 respectively.
