iPhone Devs unlock iPhone OS 3.0, ultrasn0w does the trick

The iPhone Dev team has yet again proved their unlimited talent to pwn Apple. They have managed to unlock the iPhone 3G running on OS 3.0 and to Apple’s dismay, record it on video. The new tool is known as ultrasn0w, due for a release on Friday and works on the new baseband which yellosn0w was not able to.

Theoretically, iPhone Dev says this unlock will also work with iPhone 3G S since it will also have the same baseband but the chances are slim because Apple may have changed the hardware, which the iPhone Dev was using as an exploit.
