Believe me, you wouldn’t want one of these if you’re a sucker for good looking phones. Check out the newly announced FR6000 and FR68 phones; ruggedized, built for demanding conditions and oozing with features. Both the phones adhere to IP54 tests that can withstand drops from up to 3 feet and can work in temperatures as low as -10C. The phones run on Windows Mobile 6.1 OS and includes vast connectivity options like 3.5G WAN, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and IrDA.
Other things present are the 1D barcode scanner, aGPS, 3.2MP camera (FR68 only) and microSD card slot. FR6000 also sports a Compact Flash slot which can be used to plug in a credit card reader or a RFID reader.
There’s no word on the pricing but the availability will be restricted in the Asian market only.
