Samsung has successfully developed a high-speed Ultra Wide-Band (UWB) chip that touts have the fastest data transfer rate. The chip combines ARM9 core-based baseband processor and flash controller to attain high rate of data speeds.
The USB chip now reaches a speed of 120Mbps, which is 70MB faster than the current lot of UWB chips. Samsung has also managed to lower the power consumption as well as integrate 128-bit AES encryption to enhance security.
Samsung reckons to stick these chips in SD cards and even in mobile phones, MP3 players, cameras, TVs, printers in the near future.
