While 40GB PS3 is passé in most of the international regions, Indian gamers were still stuck with the 40GB option. However, good news for them is that Sony has given their decision a good thought and announced the 80GB version for the Indian region as well. The new upgraded console will sell for Rs. 25,990 (US$531) and bundle DUALSHOCK 3 controller and Resistance 2 game.
The thing which remains unclear now is the future of 40GB variant. Will it be discontinued? Will it be sold at a discounted price? The 40GB PS3 currently sells for Rs. 22,990 (US$470).
