The rumors about a large screen sized iPod Touch were pretty rife, the other day. However, VP of Mobile Strategy from Jupitermedia feels that this rumor will only be a rumor and Apple’s “reluctance” is more accurate for rolling out a large screen device.
Michael Gartenberg says that “if you wait long enough anything can happen…but this one seems to be a little unlikely in the idea of a larger-format tablet with a seven-inch screen.” His reservation for this rumor is that the device loses the pocketability factor and is bad for developers too.
“Developers would have to rewrite code to make their apps usable with a bigger device and Apple would have to ask if the larger screen gets in the way,” he added.
Yes, there can be a problem for the developers but that Apple must have definitely thought of something if they had plans for a larger device in the future.
