Hitachi’s next-gen refrigerators

Hitachi in Japan will be launching the next wave of refrigerators which can do that extra bit to keep the food fresh and vitalized. Out of the six refrigerators planned to hit the retail shelves this month, R-Y6000 and R-Y5400 are the most advanced of them all. The interesting feature here is the vacuum chilled room. The vacuum sucks air from the freezer to deoxidize the food and also emit antioxidant vitamins from the Vitamin Cassette placed at the back of chilled room. The R-Y6000 will cost Yen 340,000 or USD 3,137.
