Asus drops five notebooks, gives rest to the Eee brand

After flooding the market with Eee netbooks, Asus is now focusing on the notebook market. Asus introduced five laptops – F6, F8, G71, G50 and B50. The F6 range of notebooks will be able to save the day for the user if his perfume fails to do the trick. This limited edition notebook has been give the aesthetic appeal and also a sweet fragrance which is infused into the laptops. The fragrances will differ with the choice of hues. The available colors are Floral Blossom, Musky Black, Morning Dew and Aqua Ocean. The 13.3-inch WXGA notebook is spec’ed decently with a Core 2 Duo processor, ATI graphics card and RAM support up to 4GB.


 

The F8 oozes performance and lightning quick booting of its additional OS, Express Gate. EG can boot up in as little as 8 seconds allowing the user to use the integrated web browser, instant messenger, Skype, photo manager, music player and online games. He can even share the multimedia content without risking the permissions in Windows. The F8 has a 14-inch widescreen and is also powered by a Intel C2D processor. ATI GPU, SATA HDD, up to4GB RAM, TV Tuner and webcam make its most of the features.


 

G71 (17-inch wide)and G50 (15.4-inch wide & 15.6-inch wide) are targeted at gamers. It comes equipped with a powerful NVIDIA ROG Geforce 9700M GT graphics card. It’s a high-end offering from Asus packing in everything from Quad Core processor (G71 only) to dual hard drive bays to Blu-ray burner.

Lastly, it’s the B50A which is a 15-inch notebook coming with a spill resistant keyboard. This one also has the goodness of Express Gate OS and has identical specifications as its peers.
