Video: iPhone gets tagged by Olympics

August 4, 2008 By Kunal Gangar 1 Comment

With an avalanche of Olympic themed products in the market, we wondered if iPhone would ever make the cut. Well, we were proved wrong until De Vere’s from the Queen’s country announced their way of commemorating Olympics… with iPhone. No don’t expect some gaudy wallpapers or any other customized content of Olympics in here because the only thing companies think of sprucing up iPhones are by sticking diamonds. The diamond collection on the phone varies from 28 for rich, 88 for super rich and 168 for super duper rich. How you arrange them is your choice but see to it that the total numbers of diamonds on each side end with digit 8. What, you didn’t know its significance? 8 is an auspicious number according to Chinese tradition which means accumulate wealth and that is why this year’s Olympics kicks from 08/08/08. Got it?

De Vere’s surely follow the Chinese tradition because after they sell you their idea of diamonds they would be accumulating your wealth too. Anyways, the 28 diamond version will cost $3376, 88 diamonds for $8224 and 168 one for $15493. Oh, did we mention these prices exclude the cost of iPhone?
