Laptops have become cheap and if you still do not own one, well here’s the chance. HCL revealed MiLeap Leaptops range of laptops which consists of two variants, X and Y. The MiLeap X Series Leaptops start from Rs. 13990 ($356) and feature a 900MHz Intel processor, 512MB RAM, 7†screen and Wi-Fi. HCL has also taken care that the Leaptops are dust, shock-proof and durable. Linux will be installed OS in the X Series.
The Y Series Leaptops on the other hand is a compact touchscreen notebook powered by Intel’s Ultra Mobile Platform processor and will have Windows Vista Home Premium as the bundled OS. Specifications include 1GB RAM, 80GB HDD, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 1.3MP camera. Pricing for this series starts from Rs. 29,990 ($763).
MiLeap starts shipping from 26 of this month which is also the Indian Republic Day.
