Mobiado’s latest phone, Luminoso has proved that not all luxury phones are decorated with blings and no features. Slated to go on sale from January 15, it will be the first 3G luxury phone. The USP of the phone lies in its illumination technique, thus its name Luminoso. The phone is crafted with materials like aluminum, sapphire and stainless steel. The body is made from aluminum used in aircrafts making it sturdy and lightweight. The body is then filtered glass bead blasted, hard anodized coated to produce a rock hard ceramic coating with twice the thickness of traditional anodizing. This process makes the body more resistant to water and dust. Stainless steel and sapphire are used in conjunction to make the buttons, sapphire for the camera window and a special coating called as the DiamondShield for the screen.
The technical specifications aren’t a letdown apart from that it is based on Nokia’s Series 40 platform. Luminoso supports both WCDMA and GSM networks, has a 262k color QVGA screen, 2 megapixel camera, video and music player, microSD card support up to 2GB and stereo FM. Price is not known but you can pre order it by contacting them.
