India-based smartphone brand Micromax today officially announced the A250 Canvas Turbo phone for the Indian market. Priced at Rs. 19,990, the phone sits in the mid-range bracket but offers a decent hardware to take on the likes of Gionee, Lava, Karbon.
The phone features a 5-inch Full HD 1080p display manufactured by Sharp and is powered by MediaTek’s MT6589T 1.5GHz quad-core processor and 2GB RAM. There’s a 13MP snapper at the back, a 5MP on the front and a 2000mAh battery, which in our opinion seems a bit less. The biggest drawback however, seems to be the lack of expandable storage and users will have to do with the 16GB internal memory, out of which about 13GB will be available to the user.
The Canvas Turbo is the first phone from Micromax after they roped in Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman as their brand ambassador earlier this month.
