Alienware, a brand owned by Dell has announced new notebooks for Indian gamers. The Alienware 14 offers performance as well as portability while Alienware 17 is designed to give a desktop grade performance.
Both notebooks boast an anodised aluminum shell and magnesium alloy body and features a new angular design that Alienware says is inspired from jet engines and stealth bombers. The laptops’ main mechanical components consist of over 60 percent of metals while the keyboard is protected by a reinforced plate
Hardware-wise, both gaming laptops support quad-core 4th generation Intel Core i7 CPU, Nvidia GeForce 700 series GPU, DDR3 RAM and support for up to three hard drives on the Alienware 14 and up to four on Alienware 17. The 14-inch Alienware 14 sports full HD resolution support and anti-glare LCD while Alienware 17 gives option to go 3D with a 3D panel
The notebooks also come pre-installed with Alienware software like the AlienFX lighting control system that allows users to create their own custom lighting themes and special effects and support up to 20 colours, AlienAdrenaline is a custom configurable game and application automation tool, the new Accelerator dynamic performance optimizer and a new performance monitoring tool.
The Alienware 14 pricing starts from Rs. 113,990 whereas Alienware 17 goes from Rs. 129,990.
