As part of Microsoft’s new 4Afrika initiative, Huawei has teamed up with Redmond giant to launch a new phone dubbed as 4Afrika. As you’d have guessed, the phone is limited to African countries (Angola, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, and South Africa initially) and is targeted at students, small businesses, developers, and first-time smartphone owners since it carries an affordable price tag.
Apart from that 4Afrika branding at the back, this is just a variant of Huawei’s Ascend W1 that was announced at the CES last month and features a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4-inch WVGA display, front and rear facing cameras, 4GB internal memory and lots more.
