Toshiba today unveiled a trio of tablets, targeting different sets of consumers with different display sizes. The three tablets to be revealed are Excite 13.3-inch, 10.1-inch and 7.7-inch. All the tablets are powered by Nvidia’s Tegra 3 processor supporting 4-PLUS-1, runs Android 4.0 out of the box and comes with 5MP and 2MP front-facing cameras and bunch of Toshiba exclusive apps.
Excite 13 sports a 13.3-inch display, which is an interesting choice because tablet manufacturers have stuck with the 10.1-inch screen size. The 0.4-inch thin Excite 13 features a 1600×900 resolution, an LED backlit display, micro HDMI, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, audio enhancements by SRS, a full size SD card slot and battery life of up to 13 hours. Excite 13 will be available from June in two SKUs – $650 for 32GB and $750 for 64GB.
Moving down the size is the Excite 10 with 10.1-inch display. It’s pretty much the same 10.1-inch tablet you get in the market with 1280×800 resolution support but add the power of Tegra 3 and features like micro HDMI, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, full size SD card slot and 10 hours of battery life. It will sell from next month for $450 for 16GB, $530 for 32GB and $650 for 64GB.
Finally, it’s the 7.7-inch aptly named Excite 7.7. Excite 7.7 boasts an AMOLED display, Tegra 3 processor, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and more. It will sell from June in 16GB and 32GB variants for $500 and $580 respectively.
