A new set of pictures reveal the previously speculated Hercules as the Galaxy S II variant for T-Mobile USA. Images published by TmoNews confirm the phone’s model number — SGH-T989 as well as the front and back view of the phone. Just like the original Galaxy S variants, this US-bound Galaxy S II will also have a facelift, which will resemble somewhat to the Nexus S albeit with a larger screen. The back side sports a brushed metal finish that rather looks nice than the textured look of the international Galaxy S II.

The phone will also feature some new hardware like the 4.5-inch display, 1.2GHz Qualcomm processor, NFC and 42Mbps HSPA support.

There’s no certain date as to when this baby will be announced but rest assured the day is nigh.
