Google has updated its Maps app for Android that adds the all new Transit Navigation support. With the new Navigation option, a user can get directions that involve traveling in a train or any other public mode of transportation.
Google has also added some more features like an improved notification bar that notifies when to get off at the station, updated directions, improved search and a photo viewer for place pages.
Google says the public transit direction involves over 400 cities across the globe which also includes few Indian cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi and Kolkata. Interestingly, the transit directions also support Mumbai despite not being in the list.
The app is available for free from the Market.
