HTC today announced to acquire some stake in online gaming service provider, OnLive. The Taiwan-based mobile company will buy about 5.3 million shares for $7.5 each that will help them to leverage on the strengths of OnLive and help them to suffice consumer demand for games on smart phones.

HTC has been spending a decent chunk of its revenues on mobile software companies, who also bought Saffron Digital and last year, Abaxia.
