PS3 Jailbreak

Sony has served a restraining order to George Hotz aka Geohot and team responsible to show the PS3 jailbreak, fail0verflow to take down all circumvention tools be taken offline. Engadget says the restraining order is a temporary relief for Sony and a lawsuit could be in the offing as well.

The current order claims the hackers violate Digital Millennium Copyright Act, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and various other copyrights.

Geohot recently managed to jailbreak the PS3 firmware v3.55 with the help of fail0verflow’s exploit.
