Wall Street Journal has an impeccable record when it comes to predicting Apple rumors and now they’re claiming that Verizon is really close to launch the iPhone in the US. According to their sources, Verizon will unveil the iPhone on Tuesday, ending AT&T’s exclusivity since iPhone’s launch. However, it is unclear when the phone will reach the retail stores.

The Verizon iPhone will be similar to Apple’s GSM-based iPhone 4.

Meanwhile, AllthingsD is reporting that the Verizon event will also see Steve Jobs as a special guest.
