A new article has been published by the Wall Street Journal which interestingly confirms yesterday’s iPhone for Verizon rumor. The new report claims “AT&T Inc. is about to lose its lock on the iPhone,” suggesting that Apple has already struck a deal with Verizon.

While most details align from yesterday’s rumor, WSJ’s sources say that Verizon is adding capacity and testing its network so that they’re well prepared for the heavy data usage by iPhone users.

The CDMA chips for the Verizon variant will be provided by Qualcomm and will be mass produced by Pegatron.
