NEC from Japan is showing off a unique tablet at the Consumer Electronics Show. It’s a book-style dual screen LT-W tablet that sports dual 7-inch LCDs. NEC says two screens on a tablet serves many purposes like it can be used for reading e-books, using it as laptop with virtual QWERTY or use two apps at the same time.
The prototype unit that NEC showed off was buggy but I expect they’ll manage to work things out before it reaches the Japanese public sometime in first half of this year.
As for the specs, the tablet is powered by an ARM Cortex A8 CPU, 7-inch SVGA resistive touchscreen display, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, 3MP camera, Bluetooth, microUSB port, SDHC card slot, GPS and stylus pen support.
