HTC India’s support page has confirmed that Desire users in India are now eligible for the Android 2.2 Froyo update. The firmware is over-the-air where users can update their devices over Wi-Fi or 3G/EDGE (Wi-Fi preferable).

Users will first need to update their devices to v2.13.707.1, after which the device can be updated to Froyo with firmware v2.13.720.1.
