Microsoft has developed a new technology that makes it easy for consumers to install batteries in gadgets, toys or virtually anything that requires CR123, AA, AAA, C or D size batteries. The technology known as Instaload and unlike regular batteries, it does not depend on positive or negative polarity making it easy to install without the need to keep it “positive-side-up or positive-side-down.”
Microsoft says this technology can be helpful in situations where consumers frequently swap out batteries. Instaload is also said to be cost effective since it can be accommodated in battery compartments by replacing the existing battery contacts.
Microsoft is currently offering a royalty-free license to battery makers and suppliers.
