Android 2.1 now available for HTC Hero

It has taken its time but HTC has delivered the impending Android update to Hero users. Starting today all Hero users will receive the update over-the-air bringing Android 2.1 (Éclair). The update comes in two packages – the first package updates the firmware over-the-air (FOTA) client and YouTube while the second one contains the 2.1 update. You’ll need to update the phone with the first part to receive the second one.
This will most likely be the last Android update for Hero from HTC.
