Sony thinks portable 3D console is a stretch, will concentrate on PS3 for 3D

Sony seems uninterested with the idea of a portable 3D console, to be specific with the – Nintendo 3DS. When IGN asked John Koller, SCEA’s Director of Hardware and Marketing, he said that playing 3D on a portable console “is a bit of stretch”. His reasoning comes from an in-house research and says 3D gaming might not appeal to a younger audience since Nintendo’s consoles are a hit among kids.
As for bringing 3D on Sony’s consoles, Koller said they’re seeing a huge interest in PS3 and would like to concentrate on bringing 3D on PS3 rather than PSP.
