UPDATE: Acer Liquid Hands-on
Acer today unwrapped its first and only Android offering for the Indian consumers. Dubbed as Liquid, the phone runs on Android 1.6 and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor but unlike Snapdragon’s 1GHz clock speed, Acer’s Liquid will run at 768MHz. Acer reckons the reduced speed does not hamper the overall experience but helps to increase the battery life.
Amongst other features, you’ll find a 3.5-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth, 5MP camera, 3.5mm stereo headphone jack, microSD card slot (up to 32GB) access to Android market and Liquid-exclusive Spinlets software for music streaming. Liquid has a 1350mAh Li-Po battery with an expected talk time of up to 5 hours and standby time of up to 400 hours.
It will be bundled with a 2GB microSD card and will soon hit retail shelves for Rs. 24,990.
