LG Display unveils a 19-inch bendable e-ink display apt for e-newspapers

LG Display, the second largest display maker is looking to open a new avenue for e-content providers and manufacturers. They’ve created the industry’s largest bendable e-ink display (measuring 19-inches), making it an appropriate choice for newspaper companies.

The display is just 0.3mm thick and to make it more bendable, the screen uses a metal foil for laying out the TFTs instead of the regular glass substrate.

LG Display has not revealed the production plans of this huge display but confirmed the 11.5-inch screens will hit the production line in the first half of this year.
