Android 2.1 unofficially comes to Motorola DROID

Want to make your Verizon DROID a bit like Nexus One? Well, here’s a port of the Android 2.1 (Flan) update for the DROID to make it happen. However, before you jump in excitement let me warn you, this ain’t for weak hearted or inexperienced modders. It is a system image file that does not preserve file permissions and if you don’t know what this means, you should better stay away unless a simple ROM flash arrives.
A user who apparently tried this, claims its very buggy with keyboard backlighting not functioning properly, home screen inconsistency etc.
