Vaio W

Sony today announced its first real netbook (in terms of specs and price) in the Indian market. For a decent ask of Rs. 29,990, the VAIO W gives the user all the regular netbook features and a couple of interesting ones like the VAIO Multimedia Suite and VAIO Media Plus that allows streaming multimedia content over Wi-Fi to PS3 or any other DLNA compatible device.

The netbook specs aren’t that exciting but it is at par with a 10.1” 1366×768 resolution screen, 1.66 GHz Atom N280 processor, 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, chiclet keyboard and 3.5 hours of battery life.

It will be available soon across all the Sony Centers and retail partners.
