Take that Samsung! You give us a solar phone but is crippled with features. Have a look at NTT Docomo’s Solar Hybrid (SH-08A) from the Style Series. It’s feature packed, solar powered and waterproof. As the name implies, the phone can be charged via a normal electric outlet or via direct sunlight that will give about a minute of talk time on a 10 minutes recharge.
If its solar charging capabilities are not enough to lure you, the phone packs a good 3-inch WVGA screen, 8MP camera, microSD card slot supporting up to 16GB and waterproof, being able to withstand for 30 minutes in a depth of 1m.
The Solar Hybrid will be showcased at Wireless Japan 2009 from July 22 to 24 and will start selling from September. Sadly, it will be limited to Japan only.
